This chapter focuses on talking with children about art which is the name of the chapter. Presenting artworks to young children is very important because it evokes higher thought processes. Children make assumptions based on the art like, "I see an octopus or a train." Younger children typically see colors or shapes rather than the entire painting as a piece. Regardless of whether the children are seeing lines or trains, children have to learn how to talk about art work appropriately. While children are working on creating thier own artwork, it is also important to encourage them to continue their process rather than instructing it redirecting them to do it a different way. The same should be applied in academics. I believe that we should let children use problem solving skills to figure things out first, then show them multiple ways to produce creativity.
